1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 448
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 448 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 15 through 20 with the following:
4 "(1) Identifying students in need of special education
5 services by conducting a social-developmental study in a case
6 study evaluation;"; and
7 by replacing lines 29 through 31 on page 1 and line 1 on page
8 2 with the following:
9 "(4) Counseling with students, parents, and teachers in
10 accordance with the rules and regulations governing provision
11 of related services, provided that parent permission must be
12 obtained in writing before a student participates in a group
13 counseling session;"; and
14 on page 2, by replacing line 5 with the following:
15 "programs including mediation and"; and
16 on page 2, by replacing lines 12 and 13 with the following:
17 "(9) Providing parent education and counseling as
18 appropriate in relation to the child's educational
19 assessment.".
