Amends the Children and Family Services Act. Provides
that the Department of Children and Family Services shall add
staff and other necessary resources to enable the Department
to more efficiently and effectively handle inquiries by
providers concerning the licensing of relative caregivers as
foster family homes as a result of the Department's Home of
Relative Reform Program.

1 AN ACT to amend the Children and Family Services Act by
2 adding Section 9.8b.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is
6 amended by adding Section 9.8b as follows:
7 (20 ILCS 505/9.8b new)
8 Sec. 9.8b. Home of Relative Reform; staffing. The
9 Department shall add staff and other necessary resources to
10 enable the Department to more efficiently and effectively
11 handle inquiries by providers concerning the licensing of
12 relative caregivers as foster family homes as a result of the
13 Department's Home of Relative Reform Program.
