1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 159
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 159 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 13 through 17 with the following:
4 "a qualified guidance specialist who holds or is qualified
5 for an elementary, high school, or special certificate issued
6 by the State Teacher Certification Board and a School Service
7 Personnel certificate endorsed in guidance issued by the
8 State Teacher Certification Board. Individuals who have
9 completed approved programs in other states may apply for a
10 School Service Personnel certificate endorsed in guidance if
11 a review of their credentials indicates that they hold or
12 qualify for an elementary, high school, or special
13 certificate in their own state."; and
14 on page 1, by replacing lines 20 through 24 with the
15 following:
16 "Sec. 10-22.24b. School counseling services. School
17 counseling services in the public schools may be provided by
18 school counselors as defined in Section 10-22.24a. School
19 counseling"; and
20 on page 2, by replacing lines 13 and 14 with the following:
21 "qualified professionals, including other certificated school
22 personnel, from providing those services listed in this
23 Section.".
