1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 127
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 127 on page 2, line
3 13, by deleting "and"; and
4 on page 2, line 16, by replacing "jurisdiction." with the
5 following:
6 "jurisdiction committed on or after the effective date of
7 this amendatory Act of 1997; and
8 (x) He or she has not been convicted within the past 5
9 years of domestic battery or a substantially similar offense
10 in another jurisdiction committed before the effective date
11 of this amendatory Act of 1997."; and
12 on page 3, line 32, by deleting "or"; and
13 on page 3, line 34, by replacing "jurisdiction." with the
14 following:
15 "jurisdiction committed on or after the effective date of
16 this amendatory Act of 1997; or
17 (m) A person who has been convicted within the past 5
18 years of domestic battery or a substantially similar offense
19 in another jurisdiction committed before the effective date
20 of this amendatory Act of 1997.".
