1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 97
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 97 on page 10 by
3 deleting lines 11 through 28; and
4 on page 10, by replacing lines 29 through 34 with the
5 following:
6 "The amount of assistance may vary, depending upon the needs
7 of the child and the adoptive parents, but must be at least
8 $25 less than the monthly cost of care of the child in a
9 foster home, as set forth in the annual assistance agreement.
10 Special purpose grants are allowed where the child requires
11 special service but such costs may exceed the amounts which
12 similar services would cost the Department if it were to
13 provide secure them as guardian of the child."; and
14 on page 11, by deleting lines 1 through 3; and
15 on page 11, by deleting lines 8 through 18; and
16 on page 26 by deleting lines 16 through 34; and
17 on page 27 by replacing lines 1 through 8 with the following:
18 "The amount of assistance may vary, depending upon the needs
19 of the child and the adoptive parents, but must be at least
20 $25 less than the monthly cost of care of the child in a
