1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 43
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 43 on page 2 by
3 inserting immediately below line 28 the following:
4 "(d) Remedies provided for under this Section may be
5 sought exclusively through the Illinois Commerce Commission
6 as provided under Section 10-109 of this Act. Damages
7 awarded under this Section for a power interruption shall be
8 limited to actual damages and litigation costs, but no award
9 may exceed $5,000. Damage awards may not be paid out of
10 utility rate funds."; and
11 on page 2, line 29, by replacing "(d)" with "(e)"; and
12 on page 2, line 32, by replacing "(e)" with "(f)"; and
13 on page 3, line 31, by replacing "(f)" with "(g)"; and
14 on page 4 by inserting immediately below line 8 the
15 following:
16 "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.".
