Sec. 0.01.
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the
Improper Supervision of Children Act.

Sec. 1.
Any parent, legal guardian or other person commits improper
supervision of a child when he knowingly permits a child in his custody or
control under the age of 18 years to associate with known thieves,
burglars, felons, narcotic addicts or other persons of ill repute, visit a
place of prostitution, commit a lewd act, commit an act tending to break
the peace or violate a municipal curfew ordinance.

Sec. 2.
A person first convicted of improper supervision of a child shall
be guilty of a petty offense and shall be fined not to exceed $25. A person
so convicted a second time shall be guilty of a petty offense and shall be
fined not to exceed $50. A person so convicted a third or subsequent time
shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.
