Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 9-614.
Contents and form of notification before disposition of
collateral: consumer-goods transaction. In a consumer-goods transaction, the
following rules apply:
(1) A notification of disposition must provide the |
|
(A) the information specified in Section 9-613(1);
(B) a description of any liability for a
|
| deficiency of the person to which the notification is sent;
|
|
(C) a telephone number from which the amount that
|
| must be paid to the secured party to redeem the collateral under Section 9-623 is available; and
|
|
(D) a telephone number or mailing address from
|
| which additional information concerning the disposition and the obligation secured is available.
|
|
(2) A particular phrasing of the notification is not
|
|
(3) The contents of a notification providing
|
| substantially the information specified in paragraph (1) are sufficient, even if the notification:
|
|
(A) is accompanied by or combined with other
|
|
(B) includes information not specified by that
|
|
(C) includes minor errors that are not seriously
|
|
(4) The following form of notification, when
|
| completed, provides sufficient information:
