Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 7. No occupant may use a self-service storage facility for residential purposes.

    Sec. 7. Prohibited use.
    (a) No occupant may use a self-service storage facility for residential purposes.
    (b) An occupant may not use a self-service storage facility after the owner has delivered written notice in person or by verified mail of the termination or non-renewal of the occupant's rental agreement.
        (1) Notice shall provide the occupant with not less
    
than 14 days after delivery of the notice to remove all personal property from the self-service storage facility.
        (2) Prior to the occupant's removal of all personal
    
property, the owner may place reasonable restrictions on the occupant's use of the self-service storage facility, including denying access to the self-service storage facility except for the occupant to remove personal property during the owner's normal business hours.
        (3) The owner may dispose of any personal property
    
remaining at the self-service storage facility after the date provided in the written notice under this Section.
