Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 22.2. Resale approval. In the event of a sale of a condominium unit by a unit owner, no condominium association shall exercise any right of refusal, option to purchase, or right to disapprove the sale, on the basis that the purchaser's financing is guaranteed by the Federal Housing Administration.

    Sec. 22.2. Resale approval. In the event of a sale of a condominium unit by a unit owner, no condominium association shall exercise any right of refusal, option to purchase, or right to disapprove the sale: (a) on the basis that the purchaser's financing is guaranteed by the Federal Housing Administration; or (b) for a discriminatory or otherwise unlawful purpose. Any person aggrieved by a violation of this Section shall have a right of action in a State circuit court against the offending condominium association.
