Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 45. Use of funds.
    (a) All interest earned on moneys received by the Board shall be the property of the Board.
    (a-5) The Board may expend funds only as provided for by law.
    (b) The Board shall not utilize any funds collected under Section 30 of this Act for the purpose of influencing government action or policy, with the exception of recommending amendments to this Act.
    (c) None of the moneys collected under Section 30 and not refunded under Section 35 of this Act shall be used for travel expenses of any member of the Illinois General Assembly.
