Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 3-304.1. Public computer access to information. (a) The Department must make information regarding nursing homes in the State available to the public in electronic form on the World Wide Web, including all of the following information: (1) who regulates facilities licensed under this Act; (2) information in the possession of the Department |
| that is listed in Sections 3-210 and 3-304;

(3) deficiencies and plans of correction;
(4) enforcement remedies;
(5) penalty letters;
(6) designation of penalty monies;
(7) the U.S. Department of Health and Human

| Services' Health Care Financing Administration special projects or federally required inspections;
|
|
(8) advisory standards;
(9) deficiency free surveys;
(10) enforcement actions and enforcement summaries;
|
|
(11) distressed facilities.
(b) No fee or other charge may be imposed by the Department as a condition of accessing the information.
(c) The electronic public access provided through the World Wide Web shall be in addition to any other electronic or print distribution of the information.
(d) The information shall be made available as provided in this Section in the shortest practicable time after it is publicly available in any other form.
