Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 10. Application of Act. This Act shall not preempt:
(1) the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, nor |
| shall any provision of this Act be construed to relieve any holder, including a financial institution, from reporting and remitting all unclaimed property, including deposit accounts, under the Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act;

(2) the Uniform Commercial Code, nor shall any
|
| provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the Uniform Commercial Code;
|
|
(3) the provisions of Section 2-1402 of the Code of
|
| Civil Procedure, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under Section 2-1402 of the Code of Civil Procedure;
|
|
(4) the provisions of Part 7 of Article II of the
|
| Code of Civil Procedure, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the provisions of Part 7 of Article II of the Code of Civil Procedure;
|
|
(5) the provisions of Article XXV of the Probate Act
|
| of 1975, nor shall any provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the provisions of Article XXV of the Probate Act of 1975; or
|
|
(6) the Safety Deposit Box Opening Act, nor shall any
|
| provision of this Act be construed as affecting the rights of a person with respect to a deposit account under the Safety Deposit Box Opening Act.
