Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.     (60 ILCS 1/24-30)
    Sec. 24-30. Referendum; voting.
    (a) Subject to the requirements of Section 16-7 of the Election Code, the referendum described in Section 24-25 shall be in substantially the following form on the ballot:

    (b) The referendum is approved when a majority of those voting in the election from the dissolving township approve the referendum.
