Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(50 ILCS 750/50) (Section scheduled to be repealed on December 31, 2025) Sec. 50. Fund audits. The Auditor General shall conduct as a part of its bi-annual audit, an audit of the Statewide 9-1-1 Fund for compliance with the requirements of this Act. The audit shall include, but not be limited to, the following determinations: (1) Whether detailed records of all receipts and |
| disbursements from the Statewide 9-1-1 Fund are being maintained.

(2) Whether administrative costs charged to the funds
|
| are adequately documented and are reasonable.
|
|
(3) Whether the procedures for making disbursements
|
| and grants and providing reimbursements in accordance with the Act are adequate.

|
(4) The status of the implementation of statewide
|
| 9-1-1 service and Next Generation 9-1-1 service in Illinois.

|
The Illinois Commerce Commission, the Illinois State Police, and any other entity or person that may have information relevant to the audit shall cooperate fully and promptly with the Office of the Auditor General in conducting the audit. The Auditor General shall commence the audit as soon as possible and distribute the report upon completion in accordance with Section 3-14 of the Illinois State Auditing Act.
