Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as Public Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the Guide.

Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

Sec. 22B-119. Adoption of rules.

The board shall adopt such rules (not inconsistent with this Code) as in its judgment are desirable to implement and properly administer this Article.  Such rules shall specifically provide for the following: (1) the implementation of the transition process described in Section 22B-120; (2) the process by which the participating pension funds may request transfer of funds; (3) the process for the transfer in, receipt for, and investment of pension assets received by the Fund after the transition period from the participating  pension funds; (4) the process by which contributions from municipalities for the benefit of the participating pension funds may, but are not required to, be directly transferred to the Fund; and (5) compensation and benefits for its employees. A copy of the rules adopted by the Fund shall be filed with the Secretary of State and the Department of Insurance. The adoption and effectiveness of such rules shall not be subject to Article 5 of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.
