Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(30 ILCS 5/2-20) Sec. 2-20. Certification of federal waivers and amendments to the Illinois Title XIX State plan. (a) No later than August 1, 2012, the Department shall file a report with the Auditor General, the Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, the Senate President, and the Senate Minority Leader listing any necessary amendment to the Illinois Title XIX State plan, federal waiver request, or State administrative rule required to implement this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly. (b) No later than March 1, 2013, the Department shall provide evidence to the Auditor General that it has undertaken the required actions listed in the report required by subsection (a). (c) No later than May 1, 2013, the Auditor General shall submit a report to the Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, the Senate President, and the Senate Minority Leader as to whether the Department has undertaken the required actions listed in the report required by subsection (a).
