Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.
(20 ILCS 1305/10-47) Sec. 10-47. Teen Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope (Teen REACH) Grant Program. (a) It is the purpose and intent of this Section to establish a State grant program to support local communities in providing after-school opportunities for youth 6 to 17 years of age that will improve their likelihood for future success, provide positive choices, reduce at-risk behaviors, and develop career goals. (b) Subject to appropriation, the Department shall award competitive grants under a Teen Responsibility, Education, Achievement, Caring, and Hope (Teen REACH) Grant Program to community-based agencies in accordance with this Section and other rules and regulations that may be adopted by the Department. (c) Successful grantees under the Teen REACH Grant Program shall plan and implement activities that address outcomes associated with 6 core services: (1) the improvement of educational performance; (2) life skills education; (3) parental education; (4) recreation, sports, cultural, and artistic |

(5) the development of positive adult mentors; and
(6) service learning opportunities.
(d) Successful grantees under the Teen REACH Grant Program shall be in compliance with policies and procedures on program, data, and expense reporting as developed by the Department, in consultation with the Governor's Office of Management and Budget.
(e) The Department may adopt any rules necessary to implement this Section.
