Sec. 100-20. Recommendations of Illinois Council of Community College Presidents recommendation revisions; math pathways. (a) If the Illinois Council of Community College Presidents approves any revised recommendations for determining the placement of students in introductory college-level English language or mathematics courses in response to changes in scoring systems, the introduction and use of additional measures, or evidence that demonstrates the inaccuracy in the use of scores in previous recommendations, then, within one year after the date of the adoption of those revised recommendations, references in this Act to recommendations approved by the Illinois Council of Community College Presidents on June 1, 2018 shall mean the revised recommendations. The General Assembly may request that the Illinois Council of Community College Presidents provide to the General Assembly the rationale and supporting evidence for any revision to the Council's recommendations. (b) Beginning no later than December 1, 2021, the Illinois Board of Higher Education shall convene stakeholders to consider a multiple measures framework for placement into college-level coursework for Illinois public universities with considerations for math pathways and major requirements.
