SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David Michael Freer of Brighton, who passed away on September 11, 2008; and

WHEREAS, David Michael Freer was born October 18, 1972, in Stuttgart, Germany to Steven Michael and Margaret (Ives) Freer of Godfrey; he was a graduate of Ranken Technical College in St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, He was president of Freer Auto Body and Accessories, Inc. in Godfrey, which he opened in 1991; he married Cathy E. Baker on May 6, 1995, in Alton; they attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arnold Freer Jr. and Paul Ives Sr.; and

WHEREAS, David Freer is survived by his wife, Cathy; his parents, Steven and Margaret Freer; his son, Carson Michael Freer; his brother and his wife, Timothy and Carrie Freer; his grandmothers, Audra "Jean" Freer and Sophia Ives; his two nieces, Taylor and Lily Freer; his in-laws, Tony and Dianna Baker and Peggy Baker and Steve Davis; his sister-in-law, Tammy Rowe and her husband, David; and his brother-in-law, Rick Baker; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of David Freer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Michael Freer as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
