SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Mae S. Timmins of East Alton on December 30, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born on September 14, 1933, in Olton, Texas, to Deward and Ardis Williams; and

WHEREAS, She married Carl E. Timmins on September 16, 1951, at the First Baptist Church in Loop, Texas; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Timmins was a homemaker for most of her married life and was very active in the church in children's ministries; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Mae S. Timmins has been felt by many, especially her devoted husband, Carl; her children and their spouses, Keith and Laura Timmins, Ralph Timmins, Tim and Bev Timmins, Jerri and Johnny Farris, and Jamie and Michael Toolen, Jr.; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Randy Curtis, Jessica Timmins, Daniel, Josh, and Trisha Timmins, Tyler and Jake Timmins, Michelle Asmus, and Michael III and Mitchell Toolen; and her brothers and their spouses, Lee and Barbara Williams, Edmond and Neva Williams, Johnny and Betty Williams, and Donny and Janice Williams; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Timmins was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Carleen Timmins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mae S. Timmins, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our sincerest condolences.
