SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of David Owen Fogle of Energy on Thursday, July 21, 2005; and

WHEREAS, He was born on December 29, 1949, in Herrin to William and Mary Ann (Hiscox) Fogle; as a youth, he attended First Christian Church in Herrin; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Fogle was the owner and operator of Wye Supply on Old Illinois 13 in Marion; and

WHEREAS, The passing of David Owen Fogle has been deeply felt by many, especially his sisters and brother-in-law, Alice and Donald Black, Dorothy Lewis, and Billie Louthan; his nieces and nephews, Leslie Black and his wife Nancy, Kim Spencer and her husband Dennis, Marianne Cowan and her husband Steve, Jodi Smith and her husband Ken, Nick Lewis, David Allen Lewis, Jennifer Hopfinger and her husband Chris, and Alison Louthan; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chris Cowan, Tierney Cowan, Austin Black, Lindsay Black, Jill Black, Scott Smith, Misty Smith, Tina Smith, Denise Ridgway and her husband Nathan, Laura Spencer, Lisa Spencer, and Lucas Hopfinger; his great-great-nephew and great-great-nieces, Colbie Ridgway, Macie Ridgway, and Shalyn South; his uncle and aunt, Goble and Annabell Fogle; and his close friends, Ralph "Skip" Haught, Phillip Stucker, Greg Newbold, and Pat Wills; he was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, David and Ethel Hiscox; his aunts and uncles, Ethel and Joe Carimati, Dorothy Hiscox, and Edith and Ramon Gothard; and his nephew, Scott Lewis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David Owen Fogle, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to his family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
