SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/3-11.5

Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning regional superintendents of schools.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning education.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Section 3-11.5 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/3-11.5)

Sec. 3-11.5. Regional professional development review committee. The The regional superintendent of schools shall constitute a regional professional development review committee or committees, as provided in paragraph (2) of subsection (g) of Section 21-14 of this Code, to advise the regional superintendent of schools, upon his or her request, and to hear appeals relating to the renewal of teaching certificates, in accordance with Section 21-14 of this Code. The expenses of these review committees shall be funded, in part, from the fees collected pursuant to Section 21-16 of this Code and deposited into the institute fund.
