SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Matthew "Jim" Hannon of Crest Hill, who passed away on March 13, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was born to John H. and Arleen M. (Kelly) Hannon in Hinsdale on November 28, 1969; he was raised in Naperville; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon attended Jefferson Junior High School and Naperville North High School, where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling, achieving third place in wrestling at State in 1988; he attended Indiana University, where he played football; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was inducted as part of the inaugural class of Naperville North High School's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon loved football, but his greatest joys in life were his two sons, Declan and Braden; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was preceded in death by his father; and

WHEREAS, Jim Hannon is survived by his sons, Declan James Hannon and Braden Matthew Hannon; the mother of his children, Christine Hanson-Hannon; his mother; his brothers, John Robert Hannon, Andy (Amy Cihak) Hannon, and Dan Hannon; his nephews, Riley Hannon and Quinn Hannon; and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Matthew "Jim" Hannon and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jim Hannon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
