SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald "Don" Shaw of Springfield, who passed away on December 12, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Donald Shaw was born in Van Wert, Ohio to Don and Margaret Shaw on September 26, 1945; and

WHEREAS, Donald Shaw worked as a disability adjudicator for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Donald Shaw loved to play pool, read, and watch Chicago Cubs games; he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion; and

WHEREAS, Donald Shaw was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Lillian and Delbert Shaw and Ralph and Pearl Stettler; and

WHEREAS, Donald Shaw is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Mary (Shawn Berry) Shaw; his grandson, Lucas Berry; his sister, Sarah (Tom) Eickinberg; his aunt, Helen Murphy; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald "Don" Shaw, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Shaw as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
