SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

15 ILCS 305/30 new

Amends the Secretary of State Act. Provides that upon the issuance of an Illinois Identification Card or a driver's license, the Secretary of State shall make available to all applicants, without charge, a listing of free adult English classes which may be available in the county in which the applicant resides.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Secretary of State Act is amended by adding Section 30 as follows:

(15 ILCS 305/30 new)

Sec. 30. English language class information. Upon the issuance of an Illinois Identification Card under the Illinois Identification Card Act or a driver's license under the Illinois Vehicle Code, the Secretary of State shall make available to all applicants, without charge, a listing of free adult English classes which may be available in the county in which the applicant resides.
