SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret L. Monroe of Alton, who passed
4away on January 10, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Monroe was born on September 6, 1939 in
6Carbon, Oklahoma; her parents were Angelo and Mary Testa; she
7married Lee "Mad Dog" Monroe on July 5, 1959; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Margaret Monroe was an avid member of St. Ambrose
9Catholic Church and a supporter of St. Ambrose and Marquette
10High School; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Margaret Monroe was preceded in death by her
12parents; her stepmother, Verna Testa; and her grandparents,
13George and Sabina Dupuich and Frank and Nora Testa; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Margaret Monroe is survived by her husband, Lee;
15her sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Cathy Monroe, Steven
16Monroe, and Joseph and Dr. Stephanie Monroe; her brother,
17Ronald (Betty) Testa; her sister, Rose (Donald) Sandidge; her
18stepsister, Betty (Mickey) Nolan; her grandchildren, Rebecca
19Tobin, Stephen (Becca) Monroe, Ashley (Michael) Reigert, Scott
20Monroe, Karissa Monroe, Antonio Monroe, Cody Monroe, Bella
21Monroe, and Christian Monroe; her great-grandson, Thayer

1Reigert; her numerous nieces and nephews; and her special
2friends, Phil and Ann Ellis and Pat Mossman; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Margaret L. Monroe;
6and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Margaret Monroe as an expression of
9our sympathy.
