HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Regina Elaine Rush of Shiloh on the occasion of her retirement after 28 years educating pre-school children in East Saint Louis School District 189's Early Childhood Program; and

WHEREAS, Regina Rush started her tenure with East Saint Louis School District 189 as a Teacher's Assistant and Diagnostic Tester; in May of 1998, she graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education; she was hired by District 189 as an Early Childhood Teacher in September of 1998; in 2005, she made the President's List and received a Certificate of Recognition for Academic Excellence from Kaskaskia College in Centralia; and

WHEREAS, Regina Rush has served as a Team Leader in the Early Childhood Program, on the Kindergarten Readiness Committee, and on the Retirement Committee; and

WHEREAS, Regina Rush is a member of Shiloh M.B. Church in Centreville, where she serves on the Board of Trustees and is a member of the Scholarship Committee; and

WHEREAS, A retirement dinner will be held in Regina Rush's honor at Fischer's Restaurant in Belleville on Saturday, May 30, 2015; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Regina Elaine Rush on her retirement after 28 years educating pre-school children in East Saint Louis School District 189's Early Childhood Program; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Regina Rush as an expression of our esteem and respect.
