HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Darren W.
4Josten of Herrin, who passed away on February 5, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Darren Josten was born in Herrin to Dan W. and
6Carol L. (nee Butterio) Josten on April 30, 1967; he graduated
7from Herrin High School in 1986; he was first married to Diann
8Cox; he was then united in marriage to Christy Brandon on April
924, 2015; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Darren Josten was employed at J & J Coins in
11Herrin; he formerly worked at Maytag in Herrin; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Darren Josten was a member of Christian Covenant
13Fellowship Church in Carterville; he loved cars, especially
14anything MOPAR, and could often be found in his garage working
15on cars; his favorite was a 1955 Dodge Rat-Rod affectionately
16called "Mater"; he was passionate about supporting his 3 boys
17in all of their endeavors; he was always their number one fan,
18whether it be tennis, basketball, or football; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Darren Josten was preceded in death by his
20maternal grandparents, Olive and Frank Butterio, and his
21paternal grandparents, Carmeletha and Kenny Josten; and

1    WHEREAS, Darren Josten is survived by his wife, Christy;
2his 3 sons, Dakota Josten, Hunter Jordan, and Gavin Jordan; his
3parents, Dan and Carol Josten; his father-in-law and
4mother-in-law, the Rev. Ralph and Barbara Brandon; his aunt and
5uncle, Glenda and Randie Griffin; his extended family, Linda
6and Larry Cox; his several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews,
7and cousins; and his faithful companion, Buddy; therefore, be
8it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Darren W. Josten, and extend our sincere
12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Darren Josten as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
