SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty E. Greenberg of Alton, who passed away on March 16, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Betty Greenberg was born on December 31, 1936, in Alton to Joseph and Mildred (Tendick) Hawkins; she married Raymond Greenberg in Alton on August 31, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Betty Greenberg enjoyed going out to eat and spending time talking on her CB Radio; and

WHEREAS, Betty Greenberg was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Betty Greenberg is survived by her husband, Raymond; her sons, Ray (Diane) Greenberg and Joseph (Chris) Greenberg; her daughter, Mildred (Mark) Lanham; her grandchildren and their spouses, Andrea and Ryan Leach, Peter and Kayla Greenberg, Katelyn Greenberg, Chloe Greenberg, Anthony Lanham, Amanda Lanham, Elizabeth Lanham, Megan Lanham, Heather and Keith Gallup, and Nick and Autumn Greenberg; and her great-grandchildren, Isabella Greenberg, Calvin Greenberg, Keigan Gallup, Haylea Greenberg, and Zoie Greenberg; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Betty Greenberg, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Greenberg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
