HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eileen Elizabeth Hoffman of Collinsville, who passed away on December 3, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was born on June 22, 1938 in Breese to Francis and Irene (nee Schrage) Woltering; she earned both her Bachelor of Science in Business and her master's degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville; she married Ernest Hoffman on November 26, 1959; and

WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman retired as program manager at Air Mobility Command-Scott Air Force Base; and

WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was active with the Collinsville Historical Museum, and volunteered for election campaigns; she was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville and was a former choir member; she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her son, Jerome Hoffman; and her parents; and

WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman is survived by her son, State Representative Jay (Laurie) Hoffman; her grandchildren, Emily (Kyle) Stigler and Katelyn Hoffman; her brother, David (Lena) Woltering; her sisters, Ruth (Tom) Kueper, Mary Edith (William) Koch, Connie (Rick) Fangmeyer, and Janet (Joe) Humphrey; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eileen Elizabeth Hoffman, extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eileen Hoffman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
