| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Dennis L. Mosley of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on March 23, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley was born to Leroy and Clara (Watts) | 6 | | Mosley in Centerville, Iowa on July 10, 1940; and | 7 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley served in the U.S. Army from 1961 | 8 | | to 1981, which included four tours of duty in Vietnam; and | 9 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley was a member of Sacred Heart | 10 | | Catholic Church; and | 11 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley enjoyed talking to his friends on | 12 | | his CB radio and spending time with them at Hardee's on Sunday | 13 | | mornings; he also enjoyed going out and salvaging items, even | 14 | | constructing bicycles from items he found for children in his | 15 | | neighborhood; he loved camping at Hidden Lake, where he made | 16 | | many friends, and gardening; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley was preceded in death by his son, | 18 | | David Mosley, and his siblings, Bonnie Motley, Toni Henseler, | 19 | | and Philip Mosley; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dennis Mosley is survived by his children, | 2 | | Cynthia (Mike) Pearson, Don (Donna) Duff, Tim DeNeve, and | 3 | | Janet Mosley; his grandchildren, Austin, Colten, Joshua, Cody, | 4 | | Erik, Christopher, Chrissy, Bryan, James, Charles, Sam, and | 5 | | Kailey; his brother, Dwight (Pennie) Mosley; and his | 6 | | sister-in-law, Pat Mosley; therefore, be it | 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Dennis L. Mosley and extend our sincere condolences to his | 10 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further | 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Dennis Mosley as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy. |
