| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of LaVerne Weber of Oswego, who | 4 | | died on July 23, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, LaVerne Weber was born on August 13, 1932, in | 6 | | Leland to LaVerne and Athea M. (nee Passow) Weber; he married | 7 | | Barbara A. Fisher on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1955, in | 8 | | Sandwich; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, LaVerne Weber graduated from Somonauk High School | 10 | | in 1950; he served his country in the U.S. Army during the | 11 | | Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954, attaining the rank of | 12 | | corporal; he was a member of Carpenters Union Local No. 916 of | 13 | | Aurora, the Lucky 50 Fishing Club, and Senior Services of | 14 | | Yorkville; he was a former member of the Tigers Club and | 15 | | Phoenix Club; he was a member of the Montgomery Memorial VFW | 16 | | Post 7452, where he participated in the funeral honor guard and | 17 | | commanded the color guard for many years; he spent the last | 18 | | four years as post commander; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, LaVerne Weber served as scoutmaster for Oswego Boy | 20 | | Scout Troup 63 during the 1970's and was involved with the YMCA | 21 | | Indian Guides with his sons; he worked as a carpenter for many | 22 | | years, retiring in 1994; he loved to go fishing, hunting, and |

| 1 | | spending time with his family, grandchildren, and | 2 | | great-grandchildren; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, LaVerne Weber was preceded in death by his | 4 | | parents, LaVerne and Athea; his son, Jimmy Weber; his sister, | 5 | | Shirley (Weber) Lippold; and his nephew, Paul Lippold; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, LaVerne Weber is survived by his wife, Barbara A. | 7 | | (nee Fisher); his daughter, Beth Barringer; his sons, Alan | 8 | | (Sue) Weber, Terry Weber, Mark (Debbie) Weber, and Matt (Jane) | 9 | | Weber; his grandchildren, Janell (Mark) Fasso, Jamie (Bryce) | 10 | | Jacobs and Jessica Barringer, Eric (Heather) Weber, Jackie | 11 | | (Kenneth) Van Roekel, Leah (Jake) Evans, Ben (Syntche), Matt, | 12 | | Kelly, and Luke Weber, Lisa (Jason) Fowler; his | 13 | | great-grandchildren, Sadie and Seth Van Roekel, Ava, Brennon, | 14 | | and Cadie Evans, Liam Fowler, Emma and Tessa Jacobs, Mia | 15 | | Barringer, and Alex Fasso; his sister, Virgina Weber; his | 16 | | brothers-in-law, Virgil Lippold and Robert (Karen) Fisher; his | 17 | | niece, Patricia Lippold; and his nephews, Bill Lippold and Wade | 18 | | Fisher; therefore, be it
