| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
Rosemary White Mitchell, who passed away | 4 | | on June 30, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell was born on April 10, 1919, in | 6 | | Sesser; she married Amos H. Mitchell on January 20, 1945, in | 7 | | Sesser; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell graduated from Goode-Barren | 9 | | Township High School; she was the oldest living member of First | 10 | | United Methodist Church in Sesser, having attended there all of | 11 | | her life; she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at | 12 | | the age of 14 and was a living witness to all who knew her; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell enjoyed sewing and playing the | 14 | | piano and organ at church and at home; she was also well known | 15 | | as an outstanding cook and spent many hours in the kitchen with | 16 | | her grandchildren, teaching them the art of cooking; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Mitchell was preceded in death by her | 18 | | parents, Isaac Demetrius White and Anna Lucille Shepard White | 19 | | Harrison; her sisters, Marjorie A. Dame and Norma Lee Dame; and | 20 | | her brothers, Allen Emery White and Donald Eugene White; and

Mitchell; her sons, Ned (Aisha | 3 | | Goessman) Mitchell and Randy Lowell (Renee Ciganovich) | 4 | | Mitchell; her grandchildren, Justin Jon Mitchell (Kelly), | 5 | | Jonna June L. Mitchell Rolla (Billy), Carrigan Aleta Mitchell, | 6 | | Ty Matthew Mitchell, and Alexa Marie Mitchell; her | 7 | | great-grandchildren, John Charles Eubanks Jr., Johnel Maria | 8 | | Eubanks, Christian Mitchell Rolla, and Cobin Dane Rolla; and | 9 | | her many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 12 | | her family and friends, the passing of Rosemary White Mitchell; | 13 | | and be it further
