| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of
James Bernell Long of Chillicothe, who | 4 | | passed away on June 11, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Long was born on August 17, 1952, in Macon, | 6 | | Missouri; he was the son of James L. and Bonita (Foley) Long; | 7 | | he married Gail E. Schmitt on June 16, 1974, in Streator; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, James Long served his country as a member of the | 9 | | United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, from 1971 to | 10 | | 1975; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, James Long was employed by the City of Chillicothe | 12 | | Water Department; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, James Long was a member of the Teamsters Local No. | 14 | | 624, the Peoria Casting Club, and the George Washington Masonic | 15 | | Lodge No. 222; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, James Long enjoyed the outdoors, boating, | 17 | | fishing, four-wheeling, and collecting Allis Chalmers | 18 | | tractors; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, James Long was preceded in death by his father; |

| 1 | | and | 2 | | WHEREAS, James Long is survived by his wife, Gail; his | 3 | | mother, Bonita Pennington; his son, Nicholas Long; his | 4 | | daughters, Kelli (Seth) Evans and Tammy (GA) Thompson; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Hattie Evans, Allen Thompson, and Brandon | 6 | | Thompson; his brothers, John W. Long and Brandon Long; his | 7 | | sisters, Shawna Riha and Shannon Salina; and his many nieces, | 8 | | nephews, aunts, and uncles; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 11 | | his family and friends, the passing of James Bernell Long; and | 12 | | be it further
