| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Hector of Naperville, | 4 |
| who passed away on August 5, 2008; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, William Hector was born July 30, 1946 in Chicago; | 6 |
| Bill grew up in Elmhurst and attended York High School, the | 7 |
| University of Dubuque, and held a Master's degree from the | 8 |
| University of Nebraska; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, William Hector taught at Belvidere High School, | 10 |
| Downers Grove South High School, and Downers Grove North High | 11 |
| School for over 30 years;
Bill was a tireless advocate for | 12 |
| organ donation, was a member of the Mayor's Advisory Commission | 13 |
| on Disabilities in Naperville and a longtime member of St. | 14 |
| Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, He will be remembered by family and friends for | 16 |
| his sense of humor and as an "all around good guy"; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and | 18 |
| Helen Hector; and his parents-in-law, Jack and Sonia Allworth; | 19 |
| and

| WHEREAS, William Hector is survived by his wife, Anne (nee |

| Allworth) Hector; his son, Matt (Kate Klein) Hector; his | 2 |
| granddaughter, Molly Hector; his two brothers, Dr. Henry (Dory) | 3 |
| Hector III and Dr. Bruce (Justina) Hector; several nieces and | 4 |
| nephews; and brother and sister-in-laws, John H. Allworth, Mary | 5 |
| F. (Lee Scoggins) Allworth, and Charles "Chuck" (Verna) | 6 |
| Allworth; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 8 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 9 |
| his family and friends, the passing of William Hector; and be | 10 |
| it further
| 11 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 |
| presented to the family of William "Bill" Hector as a symbol of | 13 |
| our sincere sympathy.
