| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Dorothy M. Orsolini of Marco Island, | 4 |
| Florida, formerly of McHenry and Richmond, who passed away on | 5 |
| August 10, 2008; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born April 13, 1914, in Chicago, to the | 7 |
| late George and Margaret (Murphy) Grotto; she was married to | 8 |
| Nello Orsolini on March 19, 1949, in Oak Park; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was educated in Chicago public schools; she | 10 |
| was co-owner and partner of Orsolini's Restaurant in Richmond | 11 |
| for 20 years, retiring in 1978; she was a member of St. Joseph | 12 |
| Catholic Church in Richmond, past president of St. Joseph's | 13 |
| Home and Grade School Club, and a member of St. Joseph Altar | 14 |
| and Rosary Society; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, She served as past president of Lotus Country | 16 |
| Woman's Club and Richmond Garden Club, was a member of the Past | 17 |
| President's Club, was a Paul Harris fellow of the Richmond | 18 |
| Rotary Club, was a volunteer at Harvard Hospital, and was a | 19 |
| die-hard Chicago Cubs fan; and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna | 21 |
| Jean Raschke; and a grandson, Donald New; and

| WHEREAS, Dorothy Orsolini is survived by a son, Alex | 2 |
| (Marcia) Orsolini; her four grandchildren, David and Adam | 3 |
| Orsolini, Denise (Jim) Collins, and Jim New; and her seven | 4 |
| great-grandchildren, Don Budzynski, Cory, Amy, and Alex | 5 |
| Collins, and Dana, Kate, and Tyler New; therefore, be it
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 7 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Dorothy Orsolini; and be | 9 |
| it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Dorothy Orsolini as a symbol of our | 12 |
| sincere sympathy.
