| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Mary A. Wegrzyn (nee | 4 |
| Merlock) of North Chicago on Saturday, June 12, 2004; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Wegrzyn was born March 28, 1917, in North | 6 |
| Chicago, where she lived all of her life before moving to Alden | 7 |
| Nursing Home; and
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Wegrzyn had worked as a cook at Old Elm | 9 |
| Country Club in Highland Park; she was a former member of Holy | 10 |
| Family Church in North Chicago and the Altar and Rosary | 11 |
| Society, St. Ann's K.S.K.J. Lodge #127, St. Mary's Lodge, Royal | 12 |
| Neighbors Of America, and was a Red Cross Volunteer; she was | 13 |
| active in her community and also ran for Alderman; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mary A. Wegrzyn has been deeply | 15 |
| felt by many, especially her children, Donald (Gail) Wegrzyn, | 16 |
| Frank (Carol) Wegerson, and Marie Anuta; her grandchildren, | 17 |
| Cheryl Matheson, Karen Wegrzyn, Douglas Wegrzyn, Nancy, | 18 |
| Elizabeth, and Michael Wegerson, and Heather, Elliott, and | 19 |
| Lindsey Anuta; her great-grandchildren, Tim and Taylor | 20 |
| Matheson and Melissa and Jack Wegrzyn; she was preceded in | 21 |
| death by her husband, Frank, in 1972; her brothers, Frank, | 22 |
| John, and Stanley Merlock; and her sisters, Anna Merlock, | 23 |
| Frances Marolt, and Tittle Marcelain; therefore, be it
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL | 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 26 |
| Mary A. Wegrzyn, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her | 27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 28 |
| further
| 29 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 30 |
| presented to the family of Mary A. Wegrzyn as an expression of |
