| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate James Schaefer on the | 4 | | occasion of his retirement from the Twentieth Judicial Circuit | 5 | | Court Services and Probation Department after 21 years of | 6 | | service; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, James Schaefer served the Twentieth Judicial | 8 | | Circuit Court from August 12, 2001 to July 1, 2021; he held the | 9 | | positions of Transportation Officer, Correctional Officer, | 10 | | Shift Supervisor, Case Management Supervisor of the Halfway | 11 | | Back Program (Juvenile Detention Center), and Probation | 12 | | Officer (DOC Re-Entry Program, Intake Officer, and Pre-Trial | 13 | | Officer); and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, James Schaefer has received numerous awards | 15 | | throughout his career, including the Illinois Probation | 16 | | Notorious Award; he is a lifetime board member of the Khoury | 17 | | League; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, James Schaefer has been married to Kathy for 41 | 19 | | years; they have two children, Chris and Scott, and five | 20 | | grandchildren, Kellen, Conner, Audrey, Sloane, and Sonny; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, James Schaefer's volunteerism includes working |

| 1 | | with the Belleville Khoury League and time spent as a high | 2 | | school baseball umpire and high school football referee; he | 3 | | grew up playing sports and enjoys playing men's senior | 4 | | baseball, golf, and pickleball; he is also a food connoisseur; | 5 | | therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 7 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 8 | | we congratulate James Schaefer on his retirement from the | 9 | | Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation | 10 | | Department after 21 years of service; and be it further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to James Schaefer as a symbol of our respect and | 13 | | esteem.
