| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Roy E. Stottler of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on November 25, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Roy Stottler was born in Girard to Paul and Mabel | 6 | | Fox Stottler on January 8, 1923; he served in the U.S. Army | 7 | | during World War II; he married Margaret Peterson on December | 8 | | 20, 1947, and together they had four children; he later | 9 | | married Jane Wortman in Silvis on September 20, 1975; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, With his brother-in-law Ben Bahnks, Roy Stottler | 11 | | was the co-owner/operator of Ben and Roy's Conoco in Silvis | 12 | | for 33 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Roy Stottler was proud to have participated in | 14 | | the Quad Cities Honor Flight in 2011; he enjoyed spending time | 15 | | with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing, bowling, | 16 | | traveling, and dinning out; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Roy Stottler was preceded in death by his wife, | 18 | | Jane; his parents; his daughter, Sharon Krogman; his grandson, | 19 | | Matthew Dreifurst; and his siblings, Emmett, Paul, Mason, | 20 | | Danny, Truman, Pauline, and Maggie; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Roy Stottler is survived by his children, Ken | 2 | | (Janet) Stottler Henderson, Kathy (Paul) Stumphy, and Ginger | 3 | | (Kevin) Dreifurst; his grandchildren, Missy, Sara, Paula, | 4 | | Rachel, Mark, Nate, Megan, and Luke; his great-grandchildren, | 5 | | Emma, Natalie, Claire, Emily, Isabelle, Harley, Paisley, | 6 | | Alison, Hollyn, John, and Adalynn; and his sisters, Marie | 7 | | Douglas and Yvonne Hoover; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Roy E. Stottler and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
