| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of William "Bill" C. Lang Jr. of Rock | 4 | | Island, who passed away on June 26, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang was born to William and Cecelia | 6 | | (Boehmer) Lang Sr. in Moline on September 29, 1932; he was in | 7 | | the first class to graduate from Alleman High School; he | 8 | | served in the U.S. Navy; he married Alyce Koever at Sacred | 9 | | Heart Church in Moline on August 17, 1957; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang worked for 35 years at the former | 11 | | Farmall Works, Rock Island; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang was a member of Sacred Heart Church, | 13 | | the Viking Club of Moline, VFW Post 2153, and the Svithiod | 14 | | Club; he was past president of the Eagles Club and was a long | 15 | | time marshal at Indian Bluff Golf Course; he was a ticket taker | 16 | | for the Alleman football and basketball games for many years; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and | 19 | | going to the casinos; he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang was preceded in death by his wife; his |

| 1 | | daughter, Susan Lang; his sister, Jacqueline Thomas; and his | 2 | | twin brothers, Martin and Matthew Lang; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bill Lang is survived by his son, Mark (Debbie) | 4 | | Lang; his grandsons, Tyson Lang Mayfield, Darrell (Genny) | 5 | | Dunlop, and Christopher Dunlop; his eight great-grandchildren; | 6 | | his seven great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce | 7 | | Baldwin and Kathryn Thomas; and his brothers, James Lang, | 8 | | Stephen Lang, and Thomas Lang; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | William "Bill" C. Lang Jr. and extend our sincere condolences | 12 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 13 | | it further
