| 2 | | WHEREAS, AMBUCS is a national nonprofit charitable | 3 | | organization with a diverse membership comprised of local | 4 | | civic clubs located throughout the United States, where | 5 | | members are dedicated to inspiring mobility and independence | 6 | | for people with disabilities; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, AMBUCS has 14 chapters located in the State of | 8 | | Illinois and devoted to the mission of National AMBUCS, which | 9 | | are the Cornbelt Bloomington AMBUCS, the Champaign-Urbana | 10 | | AMBUCS, the Danville AMBUCS, the Decatur-Lincolnland AMBUCS, | 11 | | the Jacksonville AMBUCS, the Pekin AMBUCS, the Rock River | 12 | | AMBUCS, the Springfield AMBUCS, the Sullivan AMBUCS, the Windy | 13 | | City AMBUCS, the I-80 Ottawa AMBUCS, the Greater Champaign | 14 | | County AMBUCS, the Grundy Area AMBUCS, and the South Eastern | 15 | | AMBUCS; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, AMBUCS has 501 members in the State of Illinois | 17 | | and 254 members in Springfield; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, AMBUCS chapters and members throughout the State | 19 | | of Illinois annually contribute thousands of hours of | 20 | | community service and hundreds of thousands of dollars of | 21 | | monetary gifts toward providing Amtrykes to disabled children, | 22 | | endowing scholarships for therapy students, building ramps for |

| 1 | | disabled persons, and numerous other deserving local and | 2 | | national projects; therefore, be it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 4 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 5 | | we declare the month of April 2021 as AMBUCS Appreciation | 6 | | Month in the State of Illinois; and be it further
| 7 | | RESOLVED, That we recognize the accomplishments, unequaled | 8 | | charitable giving, and selfless contributions of AMBUCS | 9 | | chapters and members throughout the State.
