1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois learned with regret of the death of Beverly Sue
4 Bertagnolli of Bunker Hill on Tuesday, August 5, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bertagnolli was born on August 6, 1937 in
6 Alton to Charles Louis and Josephine (Feldman) Schelm; she
7 married James Bertagnolli on March 2, 1963; her husband and
8 parents precede her in death; and
9 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bertagnolli was vice chairman of the
10 Macoupin County Board, a County Board member for District 2
11 for 16 years, a former city council member for the city of
12 Bunker Hill, victim advocate for the Macoupin County MADD
13 Chapter, as well as the national MADD organization, and
14 Volunteer of the Year for Illinois MADD in 1994; and
15 WHEREAS, Mrs. Bertagnolli was a former emergency medical
16 technician instructor, a former emergency medical technician
17 for the Bunker Hill Area Ambulance, and a former CPR
18 instructor; and
19 WHEREAS, The passing of Beverly Sue Bertagnolli has been
20 deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her
21 daughters, Buzetta "Buzie" Bertagnolli and Josett "Jody"
22 Bertagnolli; her son, James Shane, and his wife, Tina
23 Bertagnolli; and her grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Alderson,
24 Nathan James Alderson, Tyler James Allison, Katelyn
25 Bertagnolli, and James Tyler Bertagnolli; and
26 WHEREAS, In addition to her parents and husband,
27 preceding her in death were one brother, Kenny Schelm, and
28 her fiance, James Mullink; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing
31 of Beverly Sue Bertagnolli and extend our deepest sympathy to

1 her family, friends, and community; and be it further
2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the family of Beverly Sue Bertagnolli as an
4 expression of our sincerest condolences.
