Amends the Open Meetings Act. Provides that if a change is made concerning regular meeting dates, times, or locations (currently, only change in dates), at least 10 days' notice of such change shall be given by publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the area in which such body functions. Provides that at least 10 days' notice of a change made in regular meeting dates, times, or locations may also be provided on the website of the public body in addition to providing notice in a newspaper, or in lieu of providing notice in a newspaper if there is no such newspaper of general circulation in the area in which the public body functions.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
| 4 | | Section 5. The Open Meetings Act is amended by changing | 5 | | Section 2.03 as follows:
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 120/2.03) (from Ch. 102, par. 42.03)
| 7 | | Sec. 2.03.
In addition to the notice required by Section | 8 | | 2.02, each body
subject to this Act must, at the beginning of | 9 | | each calendar or fiscal year,
prepare and make available a | 10 | | schedule of all its regular meetings for such
calendar or | 11 | | fiscal year, listing the times and places of such meetings.
| 12 | | If a change is made in regular meeting dates , times, or | 13 | | locations , at least 10 days' notice
of such change shall be | 14 | | given by publication in a newspaper of general
circulation in | 15 | | the area in which such body functions. At least 10 days' notice | 16 | | of a change made in regular meeting dates, times, or locations | 17 | | may also be provided on the website of the public body in | 18 | | addition to providing notice in a newspaper, or in lieu of | 19 | | providing notice in a newspaper if there is no such newspaper | 20 | | of general circulation in the area in which the public body | 21 | | functions. However, in the case
of bodies of local | 22 | | governmental units with a population of less than 500 in

governmental unit. Notice of such change shall also | 3 | | be posted at the
principal office of the public body or, if no | 4 | | such office exists, at the
building in which the meeting is to | 5 | | be held. Notice of such change shall
also be supplied to those | 6 | | news media which have filed an annual request for
notice as | 7 | | provided in paragraph (b) of Section 2.02.
