| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gretchen Maxine Gulledge of Maryville, | 4 | | who passed away on December 12, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was born in St. Louis, Missouri | 6 | | to George Herman and Louise Marie (Janssen) Johnson on January | 7 | | 25, 1927; she married Lawrence Gulledge in St. Charles, | 8 | | Missouri on December 31, 1946; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was a member of St. Luke's | 10 | | United Methodist Church in Maryville, where she served as a | 11 | | greeter for 30 years; she was a member of the Maryville Senior | 12 | | Citizens; she was avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and | 13 | | enjoyed the music of Lawrence Welk; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge was preceded in death by her | 15 | | husband, Lawrence; her parents; and her siblings, George | 16 | | Johnson Jr., John "Jesse" Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Virginia | 17 | | Misuraco, Ruth Amidon, Margaret Johnson, Doris Johnson, and | 18 | | Mary Jane Logan; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Gretchen Gulledge is survived by her children, | 20 | | Sandra Blair, Larry (Nancy) Gulledge, Karen (Denny) Vollmar, | 21 | | and Kenneth (Juli) Gulledge; her grandchildren, Jeremy Blair, |
