| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dora | 4 | | Johnson, who passed away on April 9, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dora Johnson was born to Isaac Harper and Matilda | 6 | | Reid in Inverness, Mississippi on February 29, 1936; she | 7 | | formed a union with Otha Johnson in June of 1955; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, After high school, she went to work at Champion | 9 | | Automotive from the 1960s to the 1970s; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Dora Johnson was a member of the Eastern Star | 11 | | Society; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Dora Johnson was known for her loving and caring | 13 | | spirit; she had a heart to help people and was always willing | 14 | | to help those around her; her love and kindness will always be | 15 | | remembered; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Dora Johnson was preceded in death by her parents | 17 | | and her siblings, Everlene Hull, Ella
Mack, Allen Harper, | 18 | | Rosetta Smith, and Isaac Harper Jr.; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Dora Johnson is survived by her four sons, |

| 1 | | Darryl, Otha, Randy Sr., and Bruce; her five
granddaughters, | 2 | | Burgundy, Myrala (Rodney), Genina, Sheena, and Jessica; her | 3 | | one grandson, Randy
Jr.; her nine great-grandchildren, | 4 | | Dorshawn, Mya, Tyree, Zalynd, Alex, Excel Jr.,
Jasmine, | 5 | | Cassius, and Mckenzie; her one great-great-granddaughter, | 6 | | Jamya; her two sisters, Ruth Mae and Ellastine;
her nieces and | 7 | | nephews; her cousins; her family; and her close friends; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 10 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we mourn the passing of Dora Johnson and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | her; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Dora Johnson as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
