| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Wayne Holmbeck of Des Plaines, who passed | 4 | | away on July 29, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck was born to Thure and Alva Holmbeck | 6 | | on November 26, 1922; and | 7 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck spent over 50 years as a mechanical | 8 | | engineer designing automatic machinery, a career he loved; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck served in the United States Navy | 10 | | during World War II; he took part in an Honor Flight to | 11 | | Washington, D.C.; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck enjoyed traveling with his wife and | 13 | | was incredibly active; he enjoyed running, golfing, camping, | 14 | | biking, swimming, skiing, and learning to snowboard at 80 with | 15 | | his grandchildren; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Wayne Holmbeck was the beloved husband of 67 years | 19 | | of Marion Stedt Holmbeck; the loving father of Christine |
