| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Resi F. Kern; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Resi Kern was born on January 3, 1935 in Ahlen, | 5 | | Germany; her parents were Heinrich and Theresia Griese; she | 6 | | married Gerhard Kern on February 14, 1959 in Forest Park; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Resi Kern immigrated to the United States in 1958 | 8 | | and found work as a seamstress; after the passing of her | 9 | | husband, she moved to Geneva; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Resi Kern was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal | 11 | | Church in Geneva; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Resi Kern was preceded in death by her parents and | 13 | | her husband, Gerhard; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Resi Kern is survived by her daughters, Jackie | 15 | | (Joe) Ruelas, Anita (Dr. Thomas) Hazel, and Connie Braniff; her | 16 | | grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, and Marty Ruelas, Cassandra | 17 | | Wilcoxen, Elizabeth Braniff, and Madeline and Emma Hazel; | 18 | | therefore, be it
