| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joyce Jacqueline Milliman of Crystal | 4 | | Lake, who passed away on June 16, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Milliman was born in Hallock, Minnesota to | 6 | | Elsie (Goetz) Gardiner and John Gardiner on June 19, 1944; she | 7 | | enjoyed her early childhood on a farm in Orleans, Minnesota, | 8 | | and as a teenager, lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where | 9 | | she attended high school; she married Bob Milliman at St. | 10 | | Mary's Church in Grand Forks and they spent their first eight | 11 | | years in the United States Air Force; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Milliman and her husband were foster parents | 13 | | to numerous children; she was a teacher in the "Good News" | 14 | | children's club, and home-schooled her youngest children | 15 | | through middle school; her favorite song was the Old Rugged | 16 | | Cross; she collected dolls and angels, and was a very talented | 17 | | seamstress; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Milliman was a member of Calvary Assembly of | 19 | | God in Crystal Lake; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Milliman was preceded in death by her | 21 | | parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Joyce Milliman is survived by her husband of 53 | 2 | | years, Bob; her daughters, Pam (Ben) Patterson and Jacqueline | 3 | | (Paul) Muscia; her sons, Robert B. (Ann) Milliman, Mark | 4 | | Milliman, and Samuel Milliman; her brother, George Gardiner; | 5 | | her sisters, Marian (Gordy) Engen and Doris (Gardiner) Roy; and | 6 | | numerous grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | Joyce Jacqueline Milliman, and extend our sincere condolences | 10 | | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | 11 | | it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Joyce Milliman as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
