| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of George W. "Judd" Hendricks of Champaign, | 4 | | who passed away on June 6, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Hendricks was born in Duluth, Minnesota to | 6 | | Dr. Paul Knox and Zella Rachel Hendricks on April 17, 1928; he | 7 | | attended junior college and moved to Brainerd, Minnesota; he | 8 | | married Edith Mattie Tollefson on September 1, 1950; he served | 9 | | two years in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean | 10 | | War; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, After being honorably discharged, George | 12 | | Hendricks attended the General Motors Institute in Flint, | 13 | | Michigan; in 1959, he was hired by the Northwestern National | 14 | | Life Insurance Company (NWNL); for the next 45 years, he worked | 15 | | in both management and sales, eventually relocating to | 16 | | Champaign in 1965, where he established a new office; he | 17 | | remained with the NWNL until his retirement in 2004; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, George Hendricks was preceded in death by a | 19 | | sister-in-law; a brother-in-law; three nieces; and a nephew; | 20 | | and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, George Hendricks is survived by his wife of 65 |

| 1 | | years, Edith; his sons, Michael (Janet), Brian (Carol), Brad | 2 | | (Joni), and Tom (Lori); his grandchildren, Rachel (Collin) | 3 | | Corcoran, Greta (Scott) Natkow, and Jenna, Jacob, Bart, and | 4 | | Heather Hendricks; his three great-grandchildren, Donovan, | 5 | | Angela, and William Judd; and his six siblings, Elwyn (Joyce), | 6 | | Paul (Delores), Deane (Doloris), Dwaine, Maurine, and Sharon | 7 | | (John); therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | George W. "Judd" Hendricks, and extend our sincere condolences | 11 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 12 | | it further
